My first iteration of this business was called “Kids 2 Market”.
Services and products included teaching my course in person to groups, setting up and running a children’s business fair (with or without the course), one on one instruction with a child or family, and eventually my full course online. This way if a child couldn’t take my course in person, they could see me teach it and follow along. It wasn’t really intended to be used without access to me, but it morphed into that.
It was fun. I loved it. Then the Great Big Virus hit and I was offered the opportunity to sell the online course to a school teaching children 8 and up all over the world. Many of those children were moving away from in person schooling for obvious reasons. So I joined the school as their entrepreneurship teacher and sold the rights to the Kids 2 Market video course.
Sorry, TMI for explaining why the logo is different.
What is this thing?
It is a download you can buy with step by step instructions for three simple products a child can create in a weekend and start a business with.
To be clear, I am not a fan of “build-a-business” models for children. This is why you will never see me recommend those crates or businesses in a box. It simply doesn’t work for building the skills that come from creating a business from their own idea. Totally my opinion and many disagree with me.
However, I LOVE lemonade stands. I think every child should do this at least once. As I have noted in a previous post.
Therefore, when asked to create a small “build a business” product to sell for a conference I was doing (yes, I was grumpy about it) I decided to offer a few lemonade-esque ideas instead of “101 business ideas for kids”.

I am going to recreate this inside the paid access of this newsletter but that will take me a couple of weeks. If you are a paid member you should wait unless having a downloaded version is of interest to you.
